descanso gardens
January 24, 2007 — steelparadeyesterday i went to the Descanso Gardens in La Canada, CA. it was my first time there. nice. here are a few random photos.
Descanso Gardens is renown for it’s bright and beautiful camellias.

Glennis and i walked into the gift shop as we were leaving the gardens. these “happy mannequins” were on display with hats and shirts. after spending the day walking through the quiet and peaceful gardens, i found these mannequins to be a bit out of place. your thoughts?

Spoooky…
On the other hand, it could be symbolic. The mannequins are like flowers in a garden, with bland, expressionless stems, and then an explosion of color and animation at the top.
But still, spooky…
Now that I think about it, your smile is kinda of spooky too. What’s going on over in Descanso??
